When issues arise Student Health and Counseling Services and The University of Chicago have a robust set of systems to support students. Review the resources and services below to find the help you need.
For serious or life threatening emergencies always call 911 immediately.
Dean-on-Call Program: One of the resources the University makes available to students is the support and guidance of a University administrator who is on call and can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Dean-on-Call and can be reached by calling (773) 834-HELP (4357) or 4-HELP (4357) from a campus phone.
Student Disability Services works to provide resources, support, and accommodations for all students with disabilities and works to remove physical and attitudinal barriers, which may prevent their full participation in the University community.
BSD Peer Health Liasons: Peer Health Liaisons are graduate students in the Biological Sciences Division (BSD) that connect students to health resources. If you have disability-related questions and would like to talk to a Peer Health Liaison confidentially, contact: email@example.com
Health insurance coverage is mandatory for all eligible students. During the time you are registered at the University, you are required to enroll in the U-SHIP, or waive enrollment by providing evidence that you have health insurance coverage that is comparable. Learn more about the U-SHIP program
